Variation of ambient air pollutants concentration over Lucknow city, trajectories and dispersion analysis using HYSPLIT4.0

The present study deals with the analysis of daily average concentrations respirable suspended particulate matter (RSPM- PM10), sulfur dioxide (SO2), and nitrogen (NO2) at seven monitoring stations namely, Hazratganj, Talkatora, Mahanagar, Aliganj, Sarai Mali Khan, Gomtinagar, Ansal TC in Lucknow city from 2016 to 2020. shows that annual concentration RSPM varies 148.74 323.05 µg/m3, SO2 7.11 8.94 µg/m3 NO2 23.52 31.86 all locations. From seasonal variation, it is found minimum be 81.59 monsoon maximum was 447.47 post-monsoon. However, variation range 5.55 10.94 20.23 38.40 which are below prescribed standards. pollution level decreased some extent due COVID-19 lockdown year 2020 but not standard for RSPM. levels PM10 reducing despite government India banning industries adopting other safeguards within city.
